Embu University

Embu University, one of the four partner institutions in the ASEC project led by Egerton University, seeks to strengthen one farmer cooperative, engage 500 out-of-school youth in meaningful employment, establish eight startups, reach 10,000 smallholder farmers, plant 100,000 trees, and create 1,500 jobs

Nyandarua National Polytechnic

Nyandarua National Polytechnic is one of the three TVET institutions participating in the ASEC project. Through this initiative, the polytechnic is committed to empowering local communities by strengthening one farmer cooperative, engaging 200 out-of-school youth in meaningful employment opportunities, and supporting the establishment of six startups. Additionally, the project aims to reach 5,000 smallholder farmers with impactful agricultural interventions, contribute to environmental sustainability by planting 100,000 trees, and ultimately create 1,000 jobs across various sectors. These goals reflect the institution's broader vision of fostering inclusive growth, innovation, and resilience in the region.

Egerton University

Egerton University, one of the four university members of the ASEC project, seeks to strengthen two farmer cooperatives, engage 2,500 out-of-school youth in meaningful employment, establish 30 startups, reach 29,500 smallholder farmers, plant 350,000 trees, and create 7,500 jobs through its participation in the initiative.

Karatina university

Karatina University, one of the four university members of the ASEC project coordinated by Egerton University, aims to strengthen one farmer cooperative, engage 800 out-of-school youth in meaningful employment, establish eight startups, reach 8,500 smallholder farmers, plant 100,000 trees, and create 1,500 jobs through its participation in the initiative.

Pwani university

Pwani University, one of the four university members of the ASEC project coordinated by Egerton University, seeks to strengthen one farmer cooperative, engage 1,000 out-of-school youth in meaningful employment, establish 10 startups, reach 5,500 smallholder farmers, plant 150,000 trees, and create 1,500 jobs through its involvement in the initiative.
