Said Hassan Abdirahman is a Somali from the Sanag region in Northern Somalia (Somaliland). He was born in a family of fifteen being the seventh born. His mother passed away when he was a child, and his father worked hard day and night to bring them up. Life was very hard, and every day was a struggle.  He started to work hard when he was in secondary school, and lastly was awarded a full scholarship from Turkiye government, but unfortunately, he did not get that opportunity for administration reasons. Nevertheless, later on, he went to  Sudan to study, and he still benefited from the Turkiye scholarship. Due to his enthusiasm for agriculture in his earlier days in secondary school, Said decided to study Agriculture in one of the best Agriculture University in Sudan ( Bahri University). Eventually, he graduated in July 2017, and later in the year he returned to his country where he worked as a volunteer for one year, during that time Said worked as an assistant teacher at Somali National University and also he worked as a volunteer helping the farmers where he worked as officer of Agricultural-Extension and trainer at  Somali Agriculture and Animal Institute for Traning and Research (which is non-profit agricultural organization). Said is currently studying Master of Science degree in Agronomy at Egerton University, sponsored by  MasterCard Foundation (MCF),  through the Regional University of Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), under a program named  Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaninffull Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev). He is contemplating ahead to finishing his studies and contribute to the community. Majorly he wants to help the rural people and farmers by training the youth and farmers and in implementing community projects.
