Aarakit Pauline is a Ugandan by Nationality from Oogoria village, Kumi sub- County, Kumi district, Eastern Uganda.  She was born in 1993 to a family of eight siblings and she is third born. Growing up with peasant parents helped her to realize her passion for agriculture at young age. With the help of her parents and relatives, she was able to pursue her studies from primary up to University where she did Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. She is currently enrolled in Master of Science in Agronomy supported by TAGDev program under the RUFORUM-MasterCard Scholarship at Egerton University. Her major interests are Integrated pest management and Integrated soil fertility management that are key contributors to sustainable agricultural production. She aims to work hard and gain knowledge and skills to share with the farmers in the community to increase sustainable crop production and enhance food security. She appreciates Mastercard through RUFORUM and TAGDev for helping he realize her dreams.
