Norbert Iraboneye is Masters Student in Agronomy program at Egerton University (Kenya), supported by MasterCard foundation through RUFORUM for a period of two years 2018- 2020. Norbert is Rwandan by Nationality, born in 1991 in Gisagara district in Southern part of Rwanda. He is the first born in a family of four children and first one to attend University studies and his family lives by farming on small scare farm.
Norbert did his primary education at Mamba primary school, Gisagara district and proceeded to high school at Ruhango secondary school, Ruhango district in Agriculture program 2011. In 2012-2016, he joined University of Rwanda College of agriculture, animal science and veterinary medicine for his undergraduate in Horticulture program.
He is currently pursuing Master of Science in agronomy at Egerton University 2018-2020. He is committed to provide contribution to boost agricultural productivity in Rwanda through extension services and training of farmers on improved agricultural practices. Norbert has a vision to be an Agri-preneur in postharvest area for the purpose of creating job, reducing agricultural losses, value addition and providing employment to the local peoples.
