Andrew is a Ugandan national born in 1991 and is currently a doctoral student in the Agricultural and Extension Education Program at North Carolina State University, USA. Andrew received overwhelming support from TAGDEV, which enabled him to complete his MSc within 21 months from Egerton University, Kenya. Andrew wouldn't make it to North Carolina State University without TAGDEV's support. TAGDEV facilitated and linked him to several pieces of training that enabled him to learn about various graduate study opportunities. Additionally, TAGDEV supported his doctoral application and processing of travel documents and offered him a flight ticket to the USA, which helped him transition smoothly from MSc to doctoral studies.
At Egerton University, Andrew was enrolled in the Master of Science Program in Agricultural Extension (2019 - 2021). Andrew looks forward to realizing his aspirations of helping farmers in places where famine regularly raises its ugly head, battling chronic famine wherever it exists, and building a tomorrow for the developing World characterized by food security rather than insecurity.
