I am currently the Manager of Kaplomboi ROTU Farmers Cooperative Society in Bomet County, Rift Valley Kenya as the Projects Manager at the Cooperative level: Climate Resilient Agribusiness for Tomorrow-CRAFT (SNV & Agriterra Kenya) and Challenge Fund for Youths Employment-CFYE (CIAT-PABRA) among others.
I do organize and lead training among Smallholder farmers on building resiliency to Climate change effects through Climate smart agricultural practices-CSA practices. Being Value Chain Specialist, I am championing the commercialization of high iron and zinc beans (HIBs) among smallholder farmers in Bomet and neighboring Counties. I am experienced in Crop and Livestock projects, Policy development. Besides being skilled in agripreneurship, agricultural economics, rural development, marketing, project implementations, research, convening workshops, and capacity building toward improving community livelihoods for sustainability.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and a Master of Science degree in Agrienterprise Development from Egerton University. My special interests are Climate change, Food and Nutrition Security, Agricultural Value Chains, and Youth and Women empowerment.
